#1. What does my coach need to know about me to be the best coach he/she can be for me? This involves taking a look at your strengths and weaknesses. What have you done well in the past and what has been difficult to achieve? Your coach will want to know “the big picture.” Where do you work? What kinds of projects are you currently involved in? What is your personal life like? How busy/committed are you outside of work?
#2. What do I hope to accomplish with the help of my coach? This could be a variety of both personal and professional goals. Write them all down and think about which ones are the most important to you. This will give both you and your coach a place to start with. If they all seem equally important – not to worry – this is what coaches are trained to help you do – clarify and prioritize your goals.
